SHRI GANESH VINAYAK FOUNDATION
SGV Foundation was established in 2015 and has been working in remote areas of Chhattisgarh since then. With a majority population of the state living in rural or tribal areas, accessibility to even basic eye care services was difficult for these people. With a vision to provide comprehensive eye care services to population in need, we work in remote rural and tribal areas. With a motto of “ANDHATVA MUKT CHHATTISAGRH – ROSHAN CHHATTISGARH”.
Over the last 6 years, we have served more than 1,00,000 people from rural Chhattisgarh through various initiatives like outreach camps, Mobile eye check-up Van, free spectacle distribution and free/subsidized eye surgeries. Through our SCHOOL VISION SCREENING initiative, we have impacted lives of about 11,000 children from 140 schools. Our MOBILE EYE CHECKUP VAN service for rural areas has led to eye care delivery at patient’s doorstep.
In 2019, Shri Ganesh Vinayak Foundation in collaboration with Sightsavers India commenced Rural Eye Health Project focusing on eradication of avoidable blindness in variuos districts of the state.
